Try to get high ranked expired domain- If you can find expired domain for the same value why do you go
for new one.

Google/Yahoo/MSN cache – You can check if cache exist old pages of this expired domain.

check Alexa rank – This explains the site traffic rank.

Check whether it is real Alexa rank – There are instances that ppl make fake Alexa page ranks.
So be careful.

check back links – You can check backlink by typing link: or there are some tools to check
all backlinks at once.

check Google page rank – Google Page rank is one of the key factor .
You can check google pagerank by installing Google tool bar .Also there are free web tools to check Google tool bar.

check the page rank is real-Google tool bar cant detect fake page ranks .
so better to check the page rank validity. There are so many expited domains have fake pageranks.

check indexed pages.- useing site:domain.com or using web tool you can check the indexed pages.
If you find indexed pages with good page ranks , don’t waist it. just do 301 redirection to your home page or any available page.
